I got these from Santa's Mom they are his favorites.
No need to refrigerate, mix and bake.
Heat oven to 350°
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup peanut butter (Santa likes a little more)
(Mix dry ingredients together before adding)
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
In large bowl mix shortening, butter and sugars. Then mix in eggs and vanilla. Next add peanut butter. Stir till well mixed and add dry ingredients. Once mixed drop teaspoon size dough onto cookie sheet. Flatten dough before baking with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 10 minutes.
Texas Sheet Cake
the word cake is deceiving this is more like a brownie, no fudge well it is great. Good to make for parties because it is made in a large sheet cake pan. Be ready to wash dishes with this one. The peanut butter is optional (not in my house) and you can make with walnuts, peanuts or any kind you like.
Mix together and set aside:
2 cups of each, flour and sugar
